I am also wearing dark brown shoes paired with black socks that have blue flowers on the ankles. This would normally NEVER happen. I am very aware of my sock/shoe combos and wear brown/neutral-toned socks with brown shoes and the black/grey-toned socks with black shoes. The only exception is when I'm wearing especially fun socks that don't fit into those categories, and even then I'm careful about my combo choices. I'm weird that way.

I do the same thing with my shoe/sock combos. This is difficult b/c I wear brown shoes far more often than black, however I have way more black/grey socks. This is also why I wore out 2 pairs of my brown monkey socks and must get more!
