That’s I really need, but I am indeed almost all packed for my trip.
Last night I drove through another snowfall to meet a few friends for hot chocolate and conversation at Burdick's in Harvard Square. I bundled up in my scarf and red down jacket, but didn’t think to bring a hat. The snow was falling lightly enough that while I wasn’t doused in it, I had snowflakes sticking to my hair as I walked to the chocolatier. I didn’t mind driving there last night. The snow was powdery and glistening; the city really is quite charming with its streets and bricks covered in white. It shakes the January doldrums a bit, reminds you of why living here can be enjoyable, even in the winter.
But I’m still glad I’ll be warm for three weeks.
